The Majority Leader in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Prince Yomi Kolawole has reiterated the support of the PDP caucus in the House towards the re-election bid of   Capt. Idris Wada.

Kolawole disclosed this during an exclusive chat with Vanguard at Kabba, Wednesday, saying the PDP in Kogi is united to achieve victory in the November 21 governorship election. He said the governor, having achieved so much in the last 46 months, should get a second term in office.

“All the PDP members in the House of Assembly are solidly behind our governor and our leader. The governor has performed in the last 46 months and the only way we can empower him to build on his achievements is to re-elect him on November 21.

“After having an efficient Wada, we cannot reverse to the 1992 era of governance by sycophancy and autocracy. We now have a governor  who sees himself as a servant and not a demi-god. Capt. Idris Wada remains the man to continue the new trend and culture of leadership that can lead us to the next level”.

Prince Kolawole urged Kogi voters to ensure peaceful polls, regardless of who ever they might be supporting, as the state, according to him, “is bigger than the ambitions of any politician”. He said the House is prepared to work with the security agencies and the civil society to ensure free, fair and peaceful elections.
