Mr Opeyemi Duke has described the statement credited to Chief Gabriel Agoyi in the media where he demanded for Kogi-west senatorial seat on behalf of Lokoja/Koto people as unfortunate, misleading and a deliberate attempt to pitch the Okun people and their brothers in lokoja/koto against each other.
Opeyemi Duke made the comment from his Abuja base in a telephone interview with Kogireports.com
He said, “What is important to us as a people is good representation which our current Senator, distinguished Senator Smart Adeyemi represent.
“We are not interested in rotation but performance. We will not sacrifice competency and good representation on the altar of rotation, he said.
“The people of Kogi west Senatorial district knows what is best for them and at the appropriate time they will decide that. I want to urge our people to continue to pursue peace at all time and contribute their quota towards the development of Kogi west and Kogi state at large”
