In readiness for the upcoming Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL season, Kogi United FC will be taking on Jos based side Giwa FC in a friendly match on Saturday.
The encounter billed for Confluence Stadium, Lokoja by 4pm is expected to showcase good football display from both sides.
It will also be the first real test match for Giwa FC as they prepare for the league season.
Kogi United will also benefit from the match as they fine tune their programmes for the Nigeria National League, NNL season expected to kick off by April 18.
Coach of the Wada Boys, Yomi Elijah said the friendly will assist his side to make amend from mistakes noticed in their last friendly against Dream Team where they lost 3-0.
“Actually the match will help us to look at how far we have gone in preparation for the season and also to correct we were made mistakes in our last game with Dream Team, I’m sure it will be a good match for
us and we hope the fans will enjoy it,’’ Elijah said.
Giwa’s head coach Musa Aminu will hope to use the encounter in Lokoja to blend the his new boys ahead of the season opener against Abia Warriors in Jos.
