Kogi United Engages Enyimba for Wada’s Year 2nd Anniversary

As part of programmes lined up to commemorate second year in office of Kogi State Governor, Captain Idris Wada, a friendly football match has been scheduled between the state’s darling team, Kogi United FC and Nigeria Premier League giants, Enyimba Int’l FC of Aba.

This, with other other events, is to further explain Governor Wada’s tranformation agenda in sports and youth development in the state.

The grade-A friendly encounter is billed for Lokoja Confluence Stadium, Kogi State on Tuesday, January 28 by 4pm.

According to a statement signed by the Special Adviser to Governor Wada om Public Private Partnership, PPP and Chairman, Kogi United, Mallam Abdul Adama and made available by the club’s media officer, Wale Mustapha, the friendly is to reiterate the state government’s commitment to sports development, just as he noted that it will assist the team to prepare for the new National League season which begins on February 14.

The second year anniversary celebration has since began on Friday 24 of January with the Jumat service at the Central Mosque, Lokoja.
