Kogi State Referees Council Reconstituted

The out-gone chairman of Kogi State Referee Council, Mr. Stephen Sule Bello, has charged the incoming executive of the council to strive to realize the aspirations of the council.

Bello stated this in his valedictory speech during the quadrennial delegate conference of the council recently in Lokoja.

The past chairman who narrated his experience heading the council seven years said initially the journey was rough and tough and rough because according to him, they started on no foundation being the pioneer executive.

He listed some of their achievements which included producing the first FIFA referee for the council, the hosting of the first zonal national fitness test in 2012 as well as initiating and hosting north central zonal meeting of referees in September this year.

Meanwhile, the following members were elected to run the affairs of the council for the next four years.

They are; Ibraheems Adams – Chairman, Zakari Abu Deputy chairman, Moses Gwatama 1st vice chairman, Samuel Shaibu 2nd Vice Chairman Nnda Umar- General secretary and Simpa M.A Ass. Gen. Secretary.

Others are; Abdurrahman Isah- Financial secretary, Omale Clement- Treasurer , FIFA Abel Baba- State Training officer, Ishiaku Ibrahim- Asst. State Training Officer, Ibrahim Ahmed Garba- Publicity Secretary and Alami Ibrahim Yunisa (Mrs) Welfare officer.

In his appreciation speech, the chairman elect, Ibrahim Adebayo thanked all the people who made the election possible as he pledged his executive’s commitment to provide a purposeful leadership to the council.
