Senator representing Kogi East, Dr. Jibrin Isah Echocho, has congratulated the newly appointed local government caretaker chairmen from the senatorial district.
In a statement on Tuesday, the lawmaker noted that the appointments is an opportunity for the newly appointed local government administrators to work with locals and further develop the welfare of the people at the grassroot.
Senator Echochco stressed that local government administration is key to the development of the society and that points to their significance.
“Local governments are closer to the people they serve, which means they are better positioned to understand and address their needs.
“Also, it is equally of worthy note to appreciate our leader and Governor, Alh Yahaya Bello for appointing competent hands to steer the affairs our Local Government Areas.
“These appointments are indeed in the best interest of the populace.
“It is time to get to work and trail the path of productivity and selfless service to humanity and our Senatorial district at large,” he said.
Senator Echochco urged them to use their experience in good governance and bring the dividends of democracy pronto.
He promised to work with the new local government helmsmen to foster prosperity in Kogi East zone.
