Kogi State House of Assembly under the leadership of the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Mathew Kolawole is set to pass six Bills into law.
This was made known during plenary session at the House of Assembly Complex, Lokoja on Wednesday by the Speaker.
The Speaker said concerned ministries, board, agencies, commissions, civil society organizations, non-governmental organization, corporate bodies, individuals and the general public are all invited to make contributions.
“It becomes pertinent and expedient for the entire public to partake in the Public Hearing to give their opinions and views on the sections and versions of the proposed Bill as it affects them”, the Speaker said.
The Public Hearing is slated to hold on Monday, 18th of December, 2017 for the following Bills:
A Bill for a Law to enact and repeal Environmental Sanitation Functions and other matters connected therewith;
Bill on Energy
A Bill for a Law to make provision for Contributory Pension Scheme and other matters connected therewith.
While Tuesday, 19th of December, 2017 is for:
A Bill for a Law to provide for Road Traffic Administration and Make Provision for Road Vehicle Inspection in Kogi State.
A Bill for a Law to make Provisions for Kogi State Hotel and Tourism Board
