Kogi State Governor Puts Forestry Activities On Hold

The Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has directed that all forestry activities in Kogi State should be put on hold with immediate effect.

The Governor’s directive which was conveyed through the Secretary to the State Government, Mrs Ayoade Folashade became imperative in view of the increased level of forest encroachment and blatant deforestation which are threatening our economy and environment.

Law enforcement agencies and the general public are enjoined to monitor compliance to this directive.
