We at the Ebira Youths Vanguard of Nigeria (EYVON) hereby applaud Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and his Chief of Staff, Edward Onoja for their excellent approach in curbing the insecurity in the state. The spate of kidnapping, armed robbery and terrorism has reduced drastically all over the state.
We also commend the Governor’s excellent performance in infrastructural development and provision of basic amenities such as construction of roads, solar electricity, improved water supply, enhanced healthcare system and his laudable empowerment programmes.
We urge the workers affected by the recently concluded staff verification exercise, particularly workers in tertiary institutions who are on strike due to the long but necessary exercise, to be calm and cooperate with new direction administration as the state government is trying all her best to eradicate corrupt practices and ghost workers’ system in the civil service. This corrupt system has continually dragged the state into backwardness since the creation of Kogi state.
We urge Governor Yahaya Bello to provide palliative packages for the affected workers.
