Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Prince Matthew Kolawole has described the State Commissioner of Education, Science and Technology, Hon. Wemi Jones, as a man of multiple competencies and distinct qualities that stands him out among equals.
In a statement issued in Lokoja on Sunday to congratulate Jones on his birthday anniversary, Kolawole said the celebrant is the “most outstanding commissioner of education in Nigeria.”
The Speaker expressed delight that the ministry under Jones’ watch is one of the ministries that is making Kogites proud across board.
“I join family, associates and well-wishers to felicitate an entrepreneur per excellent, a politician of note and community leader, Hon. Wemi Jones on this auspicious occasion of his birthday anniversary.”
Also, the Chairman Kogi State Youth Development Commission, Mr. Lawal Ozomata James has sent a message of felicitations to Jones on the occasion of his birthday.
In a message released by the commission’s Technical Assistant, Comrade Iliyasu Zakari, he described the commissioner as a blessing and a transformer whose impact in the education sector are visible.
“Two years at the helms of affairs of a very important ministry, the accomplishments recorded is a sign of greater impacts to come in the Ministry. The commitment of the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alh. Yahaya Bello to revamp the education, science and technology sector in the state coupled with the belief and trust to saddle Hon. Jones with the responsibility to lead one of the key thematic areas in the New Direction Administration is clearly yielding fruits.
“On the occasion of your birthday, it is my prayer that God almighty will brighten your path, grant you the strength and more wisdom to continue to make a difference.
“It is my prayers also that your birthday will usher in many more accomplishments and may the years ahead bring joy to your life and your family,” he said.
