Kogi Speaker Seeks Re-election to State Assembly

The Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly,  Momoh-Jimoh Lawal, has declared his intention to seek re-election for Okene 11 constituency seat at the Kogi State House of Assembly.

Addressing the people of his constituency on Sunday, Speaker Lawal  promised more dividends of democracy for his constituency if re-elected for a second term

“You elected me primarily to represent you as an ordinary member of the House, but today I stand before you on this platform of history not only as a member of the House but also as the Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly.”

He said his first term brought gains to the people, hence, the need for him to be re-elected in order to complete the good work he has started. “Our constituency had never had it so good. But I am hopeful that a better future awaits us; it is that hope that we must sustain so that together we reach out for new and greater opportunities in the next political dispensation,” he said.
