Kogi Signage Agency Directs Political Parties to Remove Campaign Posters, Banners

The Kogi State Signage and Advertisement Agency (KOSSAA) has directed all political parties that participated in the just concluded governorship election to as a matter of utmost urgency remove all billboards, posters and banners used during the electioneering camapign.

The directive was contained in a public notice signed by the General Manager of the agency, Richard Osaseyi.

Osaseyi stated that in line with Schedule 1, Section 27(2)(2) of the Kogi State Signage and Advertisement Law, 2022, all political materials are to be taken down not later than ten days after the event.

“Everyone affected by this notice is urged to comply with this directive on or before the 29th day of November,2023. After the expiration of this notice, all sign posts, billboards, posters and banners will be removed at the cost of the defaulting party or owner,” he said.

The General Manager urged all political parties to comply strictly with the directive as defaulters will be made to face the consequences of their actions.
