Kogi Radio Gets First Female Executive Director News

Mrs Abigail Ayindero-Oyenibi has been appointed Director News and Current Affairs of Kogi state broadcasting corporation.

Ayindero-Oyenibi, until her appointment, was the government house correspondent of the radio station.

Her elevation followed the transfer and appointment of staff within the state broadcasting corporation approved by Kogi state government.

A statement by the Acting Director, Administration in the State Ministry of Information and Communication, Abdul Yakubu noted that the transferred staff are the Corporation Secretary, Sylvester Atabo to the PRS in the Ministry of Information; a presenter, Mohammed Adama to the State House of Assembly; the Director, Programmes, Mallam Omuya Salami to the Graphic Newspapers and the Director, News, Pastor Gowon Edibo to the Graphic Arts.

Others are a presenter, Hajia Sopphyat Amin-Ibrahim has been transferred to the Graphic Arts, Director, Engineering, Idris Shaibu to the Ministry of Works and Housing and a cameraman Radio Kogi, James Sani to the Films and Archive Department of the Ministry of Information.

Those appointed are Suleiman Dansoho of Radio Kogi, Ochaja to resume as the Corporation Secretary, Hajia Habibat Umar-Ibrahim as Director, Programmes, Sunday Otajile Shaibu of Radio Kogi Ochaja as Director, Engineering and Abigail Ayindero-Oyenibi as Director News and Current Affairs.
