On behalf of the Academic Board, Management, Staff and Students of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, I deeply commiserate with his Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, on the sudden demise of his Personal Assistant, Alhaji Abdulateef Suleiman.
My heart also goes out to the immediate family of our departed brother, his kinsmen, associates and the good people of Kogi State on the highly unfortunate incident.
I am shocked and devastated by the fact that such a lively, diligent, friendly, simple and intelligent human being had to exit this world in such a sudden manner.
Apart from his endearing personal qualities, he has come across as a person who has a deep sense of commitment to his job, in addition to building bridges of sociability which is hard to find in many exalted offices today.
In addition, I have known him for long, as a strong stabilising factor for the administration of his Excellency, the Executive Governor of our dear State, not just through his exemplary commitment, but also through his meticulous approaches to issues.
He will be sorely missed by our amiable Governor, and all of us who have been fortunate to interact with him on both official and private issues.
While his demise is hard for us to take, we will remain consoled by the fact that he has left behind indelible footprints that, in all appreciable standards, belie such a young age.
We pray God to grant his Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, the family and well wishers of the deceased the fortitude to bear the loss.
May Allah in his infinite mercy, forgive all his shortcomings and accept him into Al-janat Firdaus (Ameen).
