The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kogi state chapter, has called on mothers in the state to intensify prayers to God and resolve to vote out All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2023.

In a statement signed the director media and communications, Dayo Onibiyo, the party said it is expedient to call on God end pains and hardship unleashed on women by the ruling APC.

Onibiyo said PDP has proven to be women-friendly with the concession on cost of nomination and expression of interest forms for female aspirants in the party.

“We cherish our mothers and appreciate their roles in bringing us up and still caring for us, as well as ensuring that we are leaving in peace and harmony until the APC came in 2015 to scatter the great arrangement.

“We, therefore, appeal to you, our mothers, to turn to the Almighty God in your numbers to ask Him to end the APC’s reign of lack, hunger, pains, inflations and worse still, insecurity,” he said.

The statement further pleaded with mothers, whom the party described as “soft hearted carers who readily attract God’s listening ears, not to fail to fervently ask God to bring back the PDP whose 16 years in office is far better and incomparable to the woes and tales of the APC’s 7 horrendous years!”

“A ruling party that could not organize and hold a democratic national convention at once, but had to keep postponing and eventually relied on table sacking of her national officers, by the dictatorship lines of Mr. Buhari to whip its members into forceful line. This has clearly exposed them and shown us why they could not govern this great country effectively. They are simply not fit to rule and should not be allowed to go beyond 2023.”
