Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ijumu local government chapter, has taken a swipe at Alhaji Ibrahim Dansofo for his condemnation of Senator Dino Melaye.
In a statement signed by Comrade Tope Akinlabi, the Ijumu chapter said Dansofo’s call for Melaye’s suspension is dead on arrival.
The party noted that Senator Melaye remains a cherished PDP leader whose credentials and loyalty measures higher than the likes of Dansofo.
“The recent statement made by one mushroom Alhaji Dansofo condemning Distinguished Senator Dino Melaye on the comment made by him that PDP has become a dead party due to the action and inaction of the acting national chairman is nothing but the truth.
“Alhaji Dansofo’s call on Ijumu PDP to suspend Senator Dino has kissed the dust. Senator Dino Melaye remains a party leader on PDP in Ijumu Local government and he can’t be rubbished,” Comrade Tope said.
Ijumu PDP said the party stands strongly in support of Senator Dino and Alhaji Dansofo should quickly go back to his political paymasters that he has failed in his political assignment.
Ijumu PDP advised the leadership of the party to go back to the drawing table and do the needful to reposition the party and save it from total collapse.
They counseld Alhaji Dansofo to desist from attacking Senator Dino Melaye to avoid public embarrassment.
“Senator Dino Melaye are well cultured and a responsible group who have respect for the leaders and the party,” Ijumu PDP stated.
