The Chairman National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Kogi State Chapter, Amb. Usman Ogohi Samuel has expressed sincere gratitude to Governor Usman Ododo for the recent appoint of the LGA Coordinators of the NYCN as LGA Assistants and some state executive members as part of his advisory team.
In a statement on Monday, Ogohi said the appointments are significant recognition of the valuable contributions of youth leaders in the development of Kogi state.
The chairman noted that “your decision to consolidate on the ‘youth mantra’ of his excellency, former Governor Yahaya Bello, is a testament to your commitment to youth empowerment and participation in governance. By appointing our LGA Coordinators as LGA Assistants, the chairman noted the governor has demonstrated confidence in the leadership and potential of our youth.
“These appointments will further enhance the involvement of young people in governance and create opportunities for them to contribute meaningfully to the development of our state.
“As Oliver Twists, the council respectfully appeals to your his Excellency to consider elevating our LGA Coordinators to the position of Secretary of Local Government in their respective Local Government Areas as the it was under his Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello, after the forthcoming local government elections with the APC apparently expected to cruise to victory.
“This promotion the chairman noted would not only enhance their ability to serve their communities more effectively but also empower them to contribute more significantly to the overall development of our state. We are deeply grateful for your continued support and trust that this request will receive your favorable consideration.”
