The APC-led Federal government has been commended for approving the contract for the construction of Idah-Nsukka road.
Recall that the Federal government recently approved contracts worth a total sum of N27.4billion for projects in the Works and Housing, and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) ministries. The Idah-Nsukka road was part of the road captured by the estimate for the Works and Housing Ministry.
Speaking with Newsmen, the Member Representing Igalamela Odolu Constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Barr. Cosmas Atabor, expressed happiness that the Idah- Nsukka road passes through Igalamela/Odolu through the Ogbogbo-Oforachi 1, Ofejiji-Oforachi 2, Egabada, Odolu, Olla to Nsukka axis.
Hon. Atabor was full of praises for President Mohammadu Buhari and for Gov. Yahaya Bello for making the dream of the people of Igalamela Odolu State Constituency come true, said the award is a beautiful gift to end 2021.
The Lawmaker who described the economic importance of the road to his Constituency and the State as unquantifiable, said when constructed and finished, the road will help improve on the socio-economic development of the area amongst several other benefits.
Hon. Atabor described the road as one that has been long abandoned by previous administrations and praised President Mohammadu Buhari for coming to the aid of the people through the award of the road project.
Hon. Atabor said the award is an answer to several calls he has made on the floor of the House through bills and motions, describin the award as a dream come through for the people of Igalamela Odolu State Constituency who have suffered untold hardship over the years because of the road.
While assuring President Buhari and Gov. Bello of the total support of the people of Igalamela/Odolu State Constituency, he used the opportunity to urge the would be contractor to do a perfect job worthy of praise and emulation.
