Our attention has been drawn to spurious rumors circulating in Kogi State that some members of the KWANKWASIYYA political movement have abandoned ship and defected to the All Progressives Congress.
Such baseless rumors are the handiwork of elements who are envious of the formidable strength of the Movement and the towering image of our Leader Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. It is now obvious that the inevitability of the Presidential Candidature of Senator Kwankwaso which is boosted by the solid structure in KOGI state is causing sleepless nights to some people who have traded in lies in Abuja about their political control.
Kogi State is a safe and solid base of the KWANKWASIYYA movement and we are happy that it has continued to grow from strength to strength . Our members are united in the common belief that a greater Nigeria under Senator Kwankwaso is possible . We wish to state that membership of the movement is driven by patriotic hopes that our country deserves better than what is currently offered. Our genuine members cannot therefore be swayed by little perks knowing that a repositioned Nigeria will ultimately benefit all Nigerians.
Those wishing to deplete our ranks in the State have a Herculean task because our people are determined to be part of the nationwide resolve to effect a positive change. Anybody dealing with deceitful elements posing as members of our group is only clutching unto straws.
For the avoidance of doubt, the organs of the KWANKWASIYYA movement at the polling booths, wards, LGAs, Federal Constituencies , Senatorial Districts and the State levels remain intact and fully energized to contribute to the emergence of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso as the next President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Members of the KWANKWASIYYA family are therefore urged to disregard these wishful thoughts by people whose time at the apex of politics in the state is up.
