Kogi state Commissioner for Information and Communication Strategy, Kingsley Fanwo yesterday pledged to pay the school fees of Julius Wallah, son of Simon Mejida Wallah the late staff member of The Graphic Newspaper Lokoja.
Fanwo made the pledge when he paid a condolence visit to Mrs Mary Wallah, widow of late Simon Mejida Wallah, at their Lokogoma village residence in Lokoja.
The Commissioner noted that the late Wallah was a dedicated staff of the newspaper house.
He maintained that the good testimonies of the late Wallah by the management staff members of the media house spurred him to aid the family.
He called on the family members to take solace in God, stating that the good deeds of late Wallah will continue to cover the family.
The managing Director of Kogi Newspaper corporation, Dayo Thomas who accompanied the commissioner on the visit, thanked Fanwo for the gesture.
He prayed God to continue to help the family of late Wallah.
Eldest daughter of the deceased, Deborah Wallah thanked the commissioner for his human milk of kindness. She prayed God to continue to bless the hands of the commissioner.
The late Wallah was a three time Kogi state civil service award winner. On a daily basis, he reports to work at 6:30am daily and was often the last to leave office.
Until his death, the late Wallah was a senior account officer on grade level 14. He holds a Higher National Diploma in accounting from Kogi State Polytechnic Lokoja.
