Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) youth leader and Director of Public Communication, Musa/Aro Campaign Organization, Austin Usman Okai has berated Senator Smart Adeyemi for his call on Reps member Tajudeen Yusuf and Deputy Governorship candidate of PDP, Chief Sam Aro to resign from the party’s campaign.
In a statement issued on Friday, Okai said Yusuf and Aro are more popular and acceptable in Okun land as compared to Adeyemi who has been rejected twice at the polls by his people.
Okai said it is sad and retrogressive of Senator Smart Adeyemi to be hawking the anti people’s administration of Governor Yahaya Bello owing to his desperate desire to return to the Senate at all cost.
“It is little wonder the people of Okun have rejected Smart Adeyemi twice in a row because of his singular believe in politics of aggrandizement, opportunism and ‘come and chop’ idea of politicking.
“Senator Smart Adeyemi should bury his head in shame. The respect his people have for him has waned over the years. He should not drag others like Hon. Teejay Yusuf and Chief Sam Aro in his growing political downturns,” he said
Okai commended the good people of Kogi West senatorial district for their firmness and sincerity of purpose by rejecting all overtures by Senator Smart Adeyemi to convince them to support Gov Bello.
