Barely 24 hours after a patriotic group purchased the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship nomination form for Kogi State Accountant General, Alhaji Jibrin Momoh, two popular aspirants have reportedly stepped down for him.

In a statement in Abuja on Wednesday, leader of Jibrin Momoh’s Movement, Dr. Ebije Paul Joseph, confirmed that the two aspirants have willingly stepped down from the race with a stern promise to work with Alhaji Jibrin Momoh towards the realization of his ambition.

The two aspirants who preferred anonymity and pleaded not to be named hail from both Eastern and Western senatorial districts of the state.

“I am glad to confirm that two popular aspirants have stepped down for Alhaji Jibrin Momoh already. We just confirmed the second one a moment ago. That shows you the level of acceptability of our principal. He’s a people’s person. He is loved by many people and a lot of Kogites from the three Senatorial zones want him as their next governor,” he said.

According to Hon. Ebije, the two anonymous aspirants were not just popular politicians but they were political forces to reckon with especially at the grassroot level through their many years of humanitarian services  to their people.

“The people who just stepped down for my principal are political bulldozers. They are people who have over the years served their own people and they are liked by their people. Having them in our team is a big plus for us. They have promised to work with us wholeheartedly. Our door is open to other aspirants who are willing to genuinely work with the winning team.”

You may wish to know that Alhaji Jibrin Momoh got a gift of an expression and nomination form bought for him by his friends and loyalists on Tuesday to enable him contest the April 10th Governorship primary election on the platform of All Progressives Congress.
