Mr. Jacob Ajodo has called on electorate in Idah local government area of Kogi state to vote massively for Labour Party candidates in the general elections scheduled to hold across the nation on Saturday.

Ajodo made the call as the campaign train of Labour Party moved to Ichalla and Ogegele, an agrarian food hub of Idah local government area, on Tuesday to canvas for votes.

He told people that Labour Party is the only party that can redeem their communities from hunger, hardship, starvation and unemployment.

Mr Ajodo reminded the people that the previous administrations have failed to provide basic amenities for them in the past 21 years.

He told them that this is the time for them to have a rethink and join the winning party that will provide their basic needs.

The party leader who was accompanied by other executive members toured the riverine communities with its slogan of moving from consumption to production.

In a related development, 2000 eligible voters who had earlier indicated interest to joined the party officials and decamped to Labour party.

Receiving the defectors, Mr Ajodo urged them to be steadfast and vote LP through out the general elections.
