The Ofu Local Government chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kogi state under the leadership of Honorable Shagari Yahaya today announced its endorsement of the second term reelection bid of His Excellency Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello.
The announcement was made by the Ofu Local Government Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, Hon. Shagari Yahaya at the end of the party executive meeting held at the Ofu Local Government Council Chairman’s lodge.
He made it known that the announcement was coming after deliberation and wide consultation with the stakeholders and members of the party across the Local Government indicating their interest and support for the second term reelection bid of His Excellency Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello to continue with his massive development programs across the state.
Present at the gathering is the Local Government Council Administrator, Hon. Sani Hassan Atawodi; the leader of the party in the Local Government who also doubles as the Kogi East Zonal Youth leader of the APC, Hon. Muhammed Nasiru Alfa; the Local Government party Chairman and his twenty six executives alongside the eleven ward Party Chairmen and other party faithfuls.
The chairman, in his words, expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the affairs of governance in Kogi State since the inception of the New Direction Government under the leadership of the useful and youthful Governor for the past three years which is evidently seen in his handling of the affairs of the state and in the areas concerning developmental projects that has been widely carried out across the state.
He noted that the state under the GYB led administration has witnessed massive infrastructural developments as many road projects which has over the years been abandoned has been constructed which has resulted in the ease of transportation and transacting business across the state.
The Chairman also gave the Governor a pass mark in the area of prompt payment of salaries and his administration’s total commitment to improving the security of lives and properties across the state as the state under the GYB led Administration has been liberated from incessant cases of kidnapping and armed robbery and other social vices which the state is earlier known for.
He also expressed the willingness and readiness of the Ofu Local Government chapter of the party to work in ensuring the victory of His Excellency Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello come August during the party primary and the state Governorship election in November for it is a general belief that Kogi state is in a safe hand and should not be left in the hands of ill mature and selfish politicians to handle.
He expressed optimism in the victory that awaits Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello and the party come November 2nd.
However, the Local Government Administrator in his reaction sound a note of warning to party executives and members especially those who might want to work against the interest of the Governor and the party in the forthcoming election reiterating the commitment of the party to discipline those who might be guilty of this and thereby urge party faithful across the local Government not to relent in their work to ensure victory for GYB reelection bid.
