All Progressive Congress (APC) stalwart and former Kogi West senatorial candidate, Omoluabi Bode Adeyemi has described Kogi state governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello as a symbol of religious tolerance.

Speaking at the sidelines of the Government House Christmas Carol and official dedication of the chapel in Lokoja on Saturday, Adeyemi said Governor Bello has shown to all that he has huge capacity for religious tolerance.

Adeyemi noted that dedicating Kogi Government House Chapel, twenty eight years after creation of the state, shows the administration in the state has the mind of God.

“Kogi has produced several governors since creation and none of them ever thought of this until Governor Yahaya Bello made it to happen.Bello cannot escape the reward of standing up for the truth and encouraging the Christian faithfuls.

“As clearly stated in the Holy Bible; 2 Samuel 7: 12-15 “When your days are over and you rest with your ancestors, I will raise up your offspring to succeed you, your own flesh and blood, and I will establish his kingdom. He is the one who will build a house for my Name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever. I will be his father, and he will be my son. When he does wrong, I will punish him with a rod wielded by men, with floggings inflicted by human hands. But my love will never be taken away from him, as I took it away from Saul, whom I removed from before you.

“By this special action, all the blessings in the verses of the Bible are already Governor Bello’s portion.

“Governor Yahaya Bello is a child of destiny who was raised by God specifically to build his house and establish his reign in Kogi. The Governor has by this decision qualified himself for Solomon’s blessings.

“Governor Yahaya Bello has not stopped taking us by surprise, the latest is his audacious step, courageous decision and Godly mind that informed his decision to build a house for God. Those who build for God establishes a trans-generational covenant of abundant blessings with God. Governor Yahaya Bello has shown that he has capacity to lead a religiously conscious nation like ours and succeed doing so, it is not a mistake that today the Deputy Governor, Speaker of House of Assembly, Secretary to State Government and Head of Service of the state are all Christians. It is an indication of how religiously unbiased the Governor is. I am therefore proud of his leadership and pray God reward him abundantly,” he said.

While commending the Governor for the project, Adeyemi took time to praise the Deputy Governor, Chief Edward David Onoja, for his role, support and unflinching loyalty to the Governor which has brought the chapel project to be.

He said Onoja remains the link between good governance and the public as his intellectual capacity, patriotism and hardwork has assisted the Governor to succeed.
