Congratulations to Gov Yahaya Bello on the celebration of one year in the office. But I do think that, the time to let go of your friends in various offices is now.
Yes, I have always opined that, technicality can made you Governor, but technicality can’t make you succeed as it takes more of skilled young people to help do. What GYB is failing to understand is that, if God spares our lives and that of children, they will still meet him hale and strong as he is not too old to be forgotten even after 8 years in the office.
So he must make a clear statements on where we are going to.
The government is spending too much on printing face-caps and tee-shirts in desperate moves to be popular and what makes a government popular is the lives of the people you touched and not the miles you trekked.
In one year, he allowed the distraction of salaries despite the fact that he was lucky to have some reasonable billions just in one year. Let the Governor make use of his next years to make lives better for Kogites.
While lighting the one year trees in Kogi State, A Stakeholder meeting is passing a vote of no confidence on him by his own party people, some are even saying sorry for helping him into office. Let me be quick to say that, is only a political neophyte that will call those people irrelevant in Kogi State politics. Those are the actors that I saw who fought and gave APC victory in Kogi State.
The Governor must make peace with his party people very quickly. Whoever advises him that the Stakeholders are empty noise makers are his number one enemy.
While wishing GYB best of luck in the remaining 3 years, I urge him to make it eventful by touching lives of the common people as what we saw one year is like learning on the job.
GYB biko make peace with your party people sir. The faces I saw in the press conference can not be whisked away. If after one year the Governor can’t have a united party that means somebody is not doing his job in this government. It does not cost much to have one party.
The Governor must free us from this embarrassment daily from been on the news for all the wrong reasons.
