Traditional rulers in Kogi State have been ordered to work for the victory of All Progressives Congress (APC) in the domains.
The marching order from Kogi state government to the monarchs was reportedly delivered on Wednesday at Yagba Area Traditional Council meeting.
The marching order to the traditional rulers mandated them to ensure their subjects vote for APC during the rescheduled Presidential and National Assembly elections on March 23.
According to some of the traditional rulers who would not want their names mentioned, monarchs who fail to deliver their domains will face severe consequences, especially non promotion.
The source stated that similar marching order has been delivered to the expanded traditional council members at the Kogi West Senatorial District Traditional Council.
The troubled monarch who disclosed this lamented that until now they have never been involved in open partisanship. They appealed to the government to insulate them from politics, stating that they are fathers to all parties and politicians in their domain.
