Ahead of November governorship election in Kogi state, over 3000 members and supporters of the Young Progressives Congress (YPP), All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have defected to Action Alliance (AA).

The decampees, who comprise the entire party structure of YPP in Kogi State, supporters of PDP and APC in the Central Senatorial District, said the move was to rescue the state from underdevelopment and backwardness occasioned by maladministration.

Receiving the decampees, the AA Governorship Candidate, Otunba Olayinka Braimoh described as the defection as a welcome development and a thing of joy for the party and his candidature, saying he is on a mission to rescue the State and place it on the path of wealth creation and distribution.

He thanked the new entrants for their show of genuine love for his ambition, assuring that he will not disappoint them and the people of the State if elected on November 11th.

Otunba Braimoh charged the new members to embark on campaigns across the State without fear or favour, adding that the party is opened to more entrants.

He charged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies in professional conduct of free and credible election, pointing out that the “right thing must be done.”
