Kogi Gov’ship: SDP Submits Murtala Ajaka, Sam Abenemi’s Names to INEC

The Social Democratic Party (SDP) has officially submitted the names of its Governorship and Deputy Governorship candidates for the upcoming 2023 Kogi state governorship election.

In a letter addressed to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Monday, the party presented the names of Yakubu Murtala Ajaka as the governorship candidate and Abenerni Sam Ranti as the Deputy Governorship candidate.

A chieftain of the party, Adams Yusuf, who spoke with our reporter on the new development saod Murtala Ajaka brings with him a wealth of experience and a strong dedication to serving the people of Kogi State.

“With a proven track record of leadership and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by the state, Yakubu aims to bring about positive change and sustainable development.

“Abenerni Sam Ranti, chosen as the Deputy Governorship candidate, is an accomplished individual who has demonstrated a commitment to public service.

“Ranti’s selection reflects the party’s emphasis on teamwork and collective effort in driving progress and addressing the needs of the people,” he said.

The SDP chieftain noted that the submission of these candidates underscores the Social Democratic Party’s determination to present competent leaders who will prioritize the welfare and aspirations of the citizens of Kogi State.

“The party has expressed confidence in the abilities and qualifications of both Murtala Yakubu and Abenerni Sam Ranti to effectively lead the state and bring about transformative governance.
