A group under the auspices of Kogi East Neighborhood Watch (KENW), has commended security agencies for their professional conduct in Saturday’s governorship election in the state.
The Director, Public Communication, KENW, Wing Commander Iye Ayefu Akuh rtd, gave the commendations in a statement on Saturday.
Akur particularly mentioned the Army, Police and the Department of State Services for their great effort in ensuring that there was security for the electorate to cast their votes freely in the gubernatorial election.
The group further commended the officers in Ankpa Local Government Area who in the cause of their duty were able to discover and arrest impersonators who allegedly wore police uniforms and appeared like Police men in company of some prominent politicians to intimidate voters.
He stressed the need for the heads of security agencies concerned to commend the officers for a job well done.
