The people of Odo-Etito area of Ejule community has commended the Senator representing Kogi East, Atai Aidoko Ali for donating 500kva transformer to boost the supply of electricity to the area.
The assistant chief Imam of Ejule central mosque, Mansur Ali pleaded with the senator to consider the area for an additional borehole as the one at Ilemona clinic is over stretched.
The spiritual leader made the passionate appeal during the visit of the inspection team of Senator Aidoko’s constituency projects in Ejule, Ofu local government.
He said the donation of the borehole had greatly reduced the activities of shylock water vendors who believed in extorting the people particularly during the dry season.
“The only source of water is the borehole you donated to the community. All other sources are commercially oriented, especially by your political contender’s mother, who in spite of his son’s ambition still sells water to our wives at night.
“Before now, the woman was fully engaged in commercial sales of water to the people of Ejule but after several complaints, she resorted to night sales at cut throat amounts.
“She sells a big bowl of water for fifty naira instead of  twenty naira. This is always her season,” he said.
He said the central mosque located around the area need water to perform ablution and tidy up the mosque from time to time.
“We are not unaware that one of your boreholes was recently located at Community Secondary School Ejule premises, that will greatly ameliorate the problems of water the students and staff are confronted.”
