Kogi East: Igah Ward 4 Inaugurates House to House Campaign for Aidoko’s Re-election

Electorate at the ancestral home of the senator representing Kogi East, Senator Atai Aidoko Ali has resolved to return their son back to the senate in 2019.
The electorate made this known during a meeting at Aidoko’s residence in Ugbamaka-Iga on Thursday.
The meeting which had in attendance PDP party executives, leaders and stakeholders including the Director General of his campaign organisation, Alhaji Alfa Yahaya pledged to vote for all PDP candidates in the 2019 general elections.
The leaders inaugurated house to house, neighbour to neighbour campaign teams for the re-election of Senator Aidoko.
According to the communique issued after the meeting, it was resolved that this time around, supporters of Senator Aidoko from his own unit and ward have dropped their differences, party affiliations and other lingering issues so as to ensure the victory of the senator in 2019.
The meeting saluted the courage of the senator against all his political travails and giant strides to bequeath the area with people oriented projects. They urged him to sustain the tempo and momentum when re-elected by next year.
They described Aidoko as a political bulldozer and a great asset to the Igala race. They advised the people of Kogi East not to be instrumental to reverting the hand of the clock backwards, saying anti-clockwise will be inimical to the development of Iga land, Olamaboro and the entire lgala land.
The meeting resolved to commence issue based campaigns in earnest so as to detonate the negative impressions been peddled by people opposed to to the progress and development of the area.
Earlier, Idris Yakubu, a PDP stakeholder, assured the gathering that it is only in voting for all the candidates of the party that the social, economic and political development of the area can bounce back.
He thanked the people for the mass turn out for the meeting, saying the return of senator Aidoko will be of greater advantage to the community and the local government at large.
Idris appealed to the senator not to be discouraged or distracted by the activities of some political leaders in the area, but be encouraged as leader of the party in the state to accommodate all shades of opinion, for the success of the party in the state.
“We must close ranks to vote senator Aidoko again if truly the Igala race intend to put behind the harsh economic and unsecured political environment in Kogi state.
“The senatorial election and other elections next year will show the readiness of the Igala race to return power back to Kogi East as the fight is glaringly between the Igala race and forces of retrogression.
“We should not allow those who want to use the Igala race as a sacrifice to amass personal wealth, fame and ill gotten assets to the detriment of our people, the working class, the pensioners and future generation to continue in this trend,” he said.
