The APC candidate for Kogi East Senatorial District, Alh. Dr. Jibrin Isah Echocho has cautioned drivers and truck owners against incessant road side parking of cars and heavy duty trucks and obstruction of traffic.

Echocho made this statement when he visited the leadership of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Kogi East zone.

“I have a package for the drivers and car owners just the same way I have packages for other sectors of our economy. I shall ensure that a fully incorporated motor park is constructed. After compensation, government will acquire lands at strategic location and construct a motor park. This park will accommodate all passing and parking vehicle within Anyigba and other places. The motor park shall have a mechanic village section or other sections. This project shall equally help in the generation of IGR for the government.

“This project, when completed, will open up the town for other businesses as petty business and other small scale trading will open up, the multiplier effect is massive. These and many more are my plans when I get to the Senate,” he said.

Responding on behalf of the union, Alh. Isah Akubor took time to enumerate the impact of Echocho in the past and promised to use his office and the union to deliver Echocho’s message to all and sundry.

The second speaker, Alh. Umoru Farry spoke in the lines of the first speaker. Prayers were offered to God to help Echocho emerge victorious in the February elections.
