Kogi Deputy Speaker for Grades Abandoned Roads in Ankpa Communities

Deputy Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ahmed Mohammed has received commendations, prayers and words of encouragement from the people of Ubelle and Allor communities for opening up and grading of major rural road.

The road which passes from Ubelle to Allor has long been abandoned and not accessible.

While visiting the communities that were badly affected by constant rainfall and erosion, the legislator assured the residents that measures will be taken to ensure that the major access road that link Ubelle to Allor which was long abandoned shall be opened up to make movement of their goods and other economic activities easier.

The Deputy Speaker, who represents Ankpa 1 constituency in the State Assembly, also assured the communities that the government of Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello is committed to ensuring the development of infrastructure within rural communities and small towns with a view to uplifting commercial activities, thereby reducing rural-urban drift is a major priority.

“The New Direction government under Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello is irrevocably committed to the provision of more infrastructural projects, particularly rural roads across the State. We, as your representatives, will not relent in assisting the government where necessary,” he said.

The chief Imam, district heads, youth leaders and women groups from Ubelle and Allor communities who spoke expressed joy and offered prayers to God for the lawmaker.
