The people of Olamaboro are angry over the inability for a water borehole constructed in the community to dispense water three months the state government commissioned and delivered the project to the community.
Mr. Abu, a community resident who inspected the borehole say the Borehole has since stopped working and the community no longer uses it.
He explained how the community residents are angry over what they call a substandard project given to them by the Kogi state government.
Mr. Abu explained how the Kogi state Chief of Staff, Edward Onoja was angry with him for daring to expose the inability of the Borehole to serve the Olamaboro community.
Edward reportedly became very angry when Abu said the project is a cosmetic arrangement hatched to cover state incompetent and carefully hatched plan to deceive Kogi people and Nigerians that APC government is working.
The community residents are currently angry with the state government for deceiving them with a substandard project.
Mr. Bameyi Atukulu, a native of the community and a 400 level Political Science student in one of the Universities in Kogi state, in a phone conversation said: “at first we were happy that the government has remembered us, we are disappointed to find out that the project is a hatched plan to deceive us, how can you construct a borehole that will stop working less than three months after installation. This is a scam and those behind it must be brought to justice.
“Kogi state government is not the only offender, often government officials in Nigeria connive with contractors to implement substandard projects that will not serve the community.
“The politicians are often concerned about the glorious ceremony of inaugurating the project on how to score cheap political points, leaving behind the community in a sorry state.”
