The candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) for Kogi Central Senatorial District, Alhaji Yakubu Oseni had recently joined his counterparts in the New Direction team to assess the ongoing projects across Senatorial District.
This was shortly after the commissioning of Mosque/boreholes donated to the people of Okene by Governor Yahaya Bello’s Special Adviser on Domestic Matters, Hon. Kabiru Aliyu Onyene.
The delegation which was lead by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Engr Abubakar Ohere, commenced the inspection from Okene town where water pipes were being installed for reticulation of water around the metropolis. The team also visited Obehira-Okengwe-Adavi-Ihima roads where the contractors interfaced with the government delegation.
While fielding questions from journalists immediately after the exercise, Alhaji Yakubu Oseni expressed confidence on the timely completion of the projects, urging the people not to waver on their support for the present administration’s quest to reposition the state on the path of peace and socio-economic prosperity.
The APC candidate charged the people of the area to align with the progressive governance of President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Yahaya Bello by supporting their second term bid in the interest of overall development of the nation.
He revealed that with the proactive approach being employed by all the National Assembly aspirants from Kogi State, the decades moribund Ajaokuta Steel Complex would be revived when they are elected to the office come 2019.
