University Of Benin final year student and national award winner of Most Popular Student In Nigeria category, Emmanuel Oluwasayomi Ahmadu, popularly known as Mr Voiceover, has recently portrayed the University in good light and on national scene through his multiple talents and empowerment programmes geared towards the attainment of national development of the country.
Mr. Emmanuel Ahmadu has bagged many campus awards and national recognition for his enviable talents, one of which is the recent double national recognition as Entrepreneur Of The Year and On Air Personality Of The Year which he won under the prestigious Nigeria Hype Awards 2018 held recently at yard158 Event Arena, Ikeja, Lagos State.
Kogi-born Emmanuel is an award-winning Nigerian voice-over artiste, an up and coming Nollywood actor, a writer, an on-air personality, a multi-talented entrepreneur, social media app initiator, a brand ambassador, a humanitarian and amongst others. With his numerous expertise aforementioned, he bagged a double category national recognition in 2017 as Most Enterprising Student in Nigeria and Most Popular Student in Nigeria, which he won under the esteemed Nigeria Campus Choice Awards 2017.
During an interview with our correspondent, he revealed that the award is a motivation for him to do more and affect more lives. He revealed that he has embarked on numerous empowerment programmes geared towards improving the lives of the less privileged and equipping students with empowerment skills based on their respective talents, so they can creatively and productively explore such talent or skill and thereby reducing unemployment rates among graduates and contribute to national development.
He therefore solicits for government’s support in replicating this empowerment programme in various states in the country, as he is passionate about extending this innovative initiative to state government and federal government to adopt in order to tackle the alarmingly rising rate of unemployment among Nigerian youths.
According to him, research has shown that majority of graduates rarely practice what they studied. Hence, in a bid to survive in the labour market, graduates are forced to take up any job that comes their way even if it does not relate to their fields of study. This results to a tough job search experience among the millions of graduates, and this necessitates the need for the adoption of his innovative programme.
