Prince Gowon Enenche (G1), the Social Democratic Party (SDP) House of Representatives candidate for Ankpa/Omala/Olamaboro Federal Constituency in the forthcoming National Assembly election, has been nominated for recognition at the forthcoming Kogi East Road Map Unveiling and Award Ceremony.
The nomination is in acknowledgement of his contributions to society, philanthropic interventions and commitment to the welfare and development of the people.
Enenche received a delegation from the Association of Patriots for Unity, Progress and Prosperity of Kogi East, led by the Chairman of the Central Planning Committee, Prince Abubakar Sadiq Zakari, alongside Hon. Chief John Aduga, during a courtesy visit to his office.
The delegation formally informed Enenche of his nomination for recognition at the event, citing his contributions to humanity and his commitment to the advancement of the people of Kogi East.
Reacting to the nomination, Enenche expressed appreciation to the association, stressing that his commitment to service has never been driven by the pursuit of accolades.
“I am deeply grateful for this recognition. While I do not see service to humanity as a pursuit of accolades, I consider every opportunity to contribute to the wellbeing of our people a responsibility and a privilege,” he said.
He commended the vision of the Association of Patriots for Unity, Progress and Prosperity of Kogi East, noting that its objective of promoting unity, progress and prosperity in the region deserves the support of all well-meaning sons and daughters of Kogi East.
According to him, sustainable development requires collective action, collaboration and a commitment to placing the common interest above individual considerations.
“Sustainable development can only thrive when we work together, build bridges across communities and place the collective interest above personal considerations,” Enenche stated.
The SDP candidate also commended the association for establishing a platform to recognise individuals and institutions making contributions to the advancement of Igala Land and Kogi East.
“I therefore appreciate the Association for its initiative and for recognising individuals and institutions contributing, in their respective capacities, to the advancement of Igala Land and Kogi East,” he added.
Enenche further expressed gratitude to the delegation for the visit and the honour bestowed on him, while commending its commitment to fostering a more united and prosperous Kogi East.

He maintained that genuine public service should be measured by its impact on society rather than by the accolades it attracts.
“Service remains the greatest responsibility, and the greatest reward is the positive impact we leave behind,” Enenche stated.
