The Kogi State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has passed a vote of no confidence on the state governor, Yahaya Bello.

This was part of the resolutions after a stakeholder meeting in Abuja yesterday.

The stakeholder meeting was at the instance of the Kogi State Chairman of APC, Alhaji Haddy Ametuo. In his opening remarks, Haddy explained that the meeting was initiated by the party executives led by him to bring together the warring factions of the ‘real APC’.

“I initiated the meeting to bring all those who worked for the victory of the party together and rescue the state from the maladministration of Alhaji Yahaya Bello”, he said.

Senator representing Kogi West, Otunba Dino Melaye, berated Governor Bello’s style of governance. He called on leaders of the party to close ranks.

“There is need for party leaders to come together, election is over and we need to come together and rescue our state from Governor Yahaya Bello”, he said.

A committee was setup to meet with all aggrieved leaders of the party and a date was set aside for a world press conference that will be attended by all the leaders and stakeholders of the ‘real APC’ in the state.

Other leaders at the meeting are Senator Nocholas Ugbane, Senator Muhammed Ohiare, state exco members of APC and 16 out of 21 LGA party chairmen.

This is the second time the leadership of the ruling party in the state will be passing vote on no confidence on the state governor.
