Kogi ALGON Chairman Donates Food Items, Cash to NYSC

The Kogi State ALGON Chairman, Mr Taofiq Isa, has donated 20 bags of rice, cow and a cash of N150, 000 to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) 2018 Batch ‘A’ corps members.
Isa, who is also the Administrator of Ijumu Local Government Area, presented the items to the State Coordinator of NYSC, Mrs Oludolapo Ahile on Thursday at Kogi orientation camp Asaya, Kabba.
According to Isa, the donation was prompted by the passionate request by the state coordinator to support the corps members when he paid an official visit to the camp on Wednesday.
The administrator urged the corps members to be diligent, faithful, patriotic, humble and support the government of the day, saying it required humility to serve the nation.
He said that the State Gov., Alhaji Yahaya Bello, had been very supportive to the corps members and the NYSC camp officials.
According to him, as a host administrator, he has been given the NYSC the necessary support; “all the camp officials have been very inspiring and cooperative.’’
He however urged the corps members to abide by the camp’s rules and regulations, and be peaceful, friendly and cooperate with the camp officials as to have successful camping.
In her remarks, Ahile, thanked the Administrator for the gesture and for his service to humanity.
She stressed that what the LG boss had done would be remembered for a very long time in the history of NYSC, saying it was beyond politics but out of generosity.
