The Kogi State Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment (AGILE) Project has restated its commitment to ensuring safe and effective implementation of projects in selected schools across the state.

This was made known when the AGILE team convened a security management plan assessment meeting with key stakeholders in Lokoja.

According to Prof. Shakiru Odunuga, the purpose of the meeting was to review and strengthen the security framework that will support the smooth execution of AGILE projects, ensuring the protection of students, school staff, and infrastructure.

This proactive step, he said, reflects the commitment of the Kogi State Government to provide a safe, inclusive, and conducive learning environment, especially for adolescent girls, as part of the broader AGILE initiative.

The purpose of the meeting was to review and strengthen the security framework that will support the smooth execution of AGILE projects, ensuring the protection of students, school staff, and infrastructure.

The engagement brought together critical security and education stakeholders, including the Nigerian Army, Nigeria Police Force, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), and selected school principals from the three senatorial districts of Kogi State.

He urged the public to stay engaged and support this transformative educational program aimed at improving access to quality education for girls across Kogi State.
