Adeyemi Olabode John is a native of Kabba in Kabba/Bunu Local Government area of Kogi State, he is from the family of Mr. Celestine and Mrs Methilda Adeyemi.
He started his education career at ECWA LEA primary school in Ilorin Kwara state, upon completion of his primary education he returned to Kabba for his secondary education at Saint Barnabas College. During his secondary education he began his quest for service to people and humanity through being a member of almost all the functioning clubs in his school, later he became a rallying point among his peers.
After secondary education, he enrolled for A level course at the Ahmadu Bello University school of basic studies with study centre at Kogi state polytechnic, Osara. He was thereafter admitted to the University of Ilorin for his university education, where he studied Mathematics between 2002 and 2005.
During his university days, he was a prominent and active leader of National Association of Kogi State Students (NAKOSS), a former president of Okun Students’ Union, an influential member of the Students’ Union government of the university likewise the umbrella body of the students at the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS). This association because of its national strength and widespread gave Bode Adeyemi wide range coverage in the national politics and a rare opportunity of having relationship in almost all the thirty six states of the federation.
Olabode Adeyemi who has been an active member of the Peoples’ Democratic Party in Odolu ward of Kabba/Bunnu L.G.A. since 1999 and had always been prominent in all party activities to the point of being elected as delegate to various party congresses and even the just concluded Kogi gubernatorial primary election that promised Capt. Idris Ichalla Wada as the party standard bearer. Due to his committed support for the party in the 2007 general election, he was appointed a legislative assistant to the chairman of House Committee on information and national orientation in the Federal House of Representatives until 2010
Between January 2010 and February 2011, Olabode became the vice chairman of the Africa Media Merit Award. On the 15th of march 2011 Olabode Adeyemi became the Director of Public affairs and strategy at the Centre for Policy Advocacy and Leadership Development. He is also a member of the board of executive of UNESCO Centre, Abuja. He is the former B.O.T chairman of Kogi Youth Leaders’ Forum. He has organized various seminars in Nigeria and Ghana
With is quest for academic excellence, he is currently a student of executive masters course in project management at the British School of Project Management at the Abuja study centre. He has membership of many socio-political organizations in Nigeria and he enjoys the goodwill of many political leaders across the country.
Olabode is married to Omolade Bode-Adeyemi and they are blessed with a son.
Mission Statement
As part of Bode Adeyemi’s aspiration to see a Nigeria where there is perfect national integration and the youths that are the vehicle of national transformation are carefully brought together and their various potentials well harnessed in the best interest of national development, Bode strongly believes that the Peoples’ Democratic Party being the largest party in Nigeria with national outlook has the best opportunity of bringing Nigerian youth together.
With this aforementioned, if elected as the national Youth leader of Peoples’ Democratic Party, he will re-mobilize the youths of the federation in line with the transformation agenda of President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and the Party’s manifestoes.
The Clarion Call
Because of the numerous challenges facing the Nigerian youths especially in the area of un-employment, a clear headed individual is needed as the party youth leader that can articulate the position of the youths in various policies of the government through the party.
At this decisive moment in the history of Nigerian Youths, an individual like Bode Adeyemi is needed as the party youth leader. In this vein, the clarion call is being made to all the youths in PDP to support Bode’s aspiration.
