Kogi @ 33 Anniversary: Comrade Abdullahi Adamu Dedicates Award to Late Father, Harps on Unity

Comrade Abdullahi Adamu has been rewarded for his contribution and positive impact in his brief tenure as Caretaker Chairman of Lokoja Local Government.

The former Caretaker Chairman who is also the Chairmanship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming local government elections received the award for outstanding quality service as Caretaker Chairman of Lokoja Local Government at the The Nigerian Post’s Annual Lectures and Awards which took place in Edge Drive Hotel, Lokoja on Monday.

The event which was chaired by Prof. Steven Ikanni Ocheni, former Minister State, Labour and Employment ably represented by a former Chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Comrade Ali Atabor had the theme “Sustaining Kogis Unbroken Unity – Prospects and Possibilities. The House Must not fall.”

He applauded the convener and Editor In Chief of The Nigerian Post, Mr. Mike Abu for championing the good cause and sustaining the annual event that brings notable Kogi sons and daughters to discuss contemporary issues facing Kogi State and preferring solutions.

“Firstly, let me give God the glory for the gift of life and good health. I want to also dedicate this award in recognition of our modest achievements to my Late Father, Hon. Ismaila Adoga Adamu for imbibing in me humility, hard work, dedication, honesty and passion for Community Development. May Allah continue to grant eternal rest in Jannah.”

Comrade Adamu also added that there is absolute need for unity, fairness and justice in every facet of our human lives of we expect to progress as pointed out by the guest Speaker Prof. John Alabi. He promised to continue to do his best by putting Lokoja Local Government Area first through transparent, quality, responsible and accountable leadership.
