Kogi @30: Senator Oseni Felicitates Kogites, Eulogises Gov. Bello’s Detribalized Leadership

As Kogi State marks 30th year of creation, Senator Yakubu Oseni representing Kogi Central Senatorial District has on behalf of his constituents, congratulated the people and government of the state.

The lawmaker who is the Chairman, Senate Committee on Information and Communication Technology (ICT)/ Cybercrime has in a message to the people of the state noted that celebration is in order for the Confluence State whose historic creation on the 27th August 1991 and geographical location is very essential to the coexistence of the nation.

According to him, Kogi State since creation has weathered various political storms in its quest to stay formidable and united amongst other states in the federation, adding that the current administration of Governor Yahaya Bello has so far united the people of the state more than ever.

“As a state, we are not just counting numbers. At 30, we are celebrating the gains we have made so far especially the leadership of Governor Yahaya Bello who through act of providence has been entrusted with the leadership of the state to realign it with the initial objectives of creating the state.

“Governor Yahaya Bello has achieved by allowing a level playing ground for everybody in the state. His detribalized approach to governance has made it possible for anybody to become somebody without knowing anyone provided you have the capacity needed for a particular task. I think this pan-Nigeria attributes are what we require as a people in a journey to nationhood.

“It is in line with this that on this memorable day and on behalf of my teeming constituents, I rejoice with the citizens and government of the state for attaining this age even as we strive to make our state the best in all indices in the country “

Senator Yakubu Oseni subsequently charged Nigerians especially the youths to deepen their culture of cyber decency in order to ameliorate the image of country at the international community.
