Kogi @ 30: Obajana Contributed to the Success Story of the State – Oba Isenibi

The Bajana of Obajana, Oba Idowu Isenibi says the community has contributed to the development of the state with the hosting largest Cement factory.

Oba Isenibi told Newsmen in an interview that Obajana has placed the state on the world map of economic development, saying the success story of the state is not complete without mentioning Obajana Community.

“Dangote Cement plant in Obajana, Kogi, is the largest in Sub-Saharan Africa with 10.25 million tonnes per year capacity. This Company has made the State to be popular in Africa and the World”

The Traditional Ruler commended the State Governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello for creating enabling environment for businesses to strive especially the provision of security of lives and property.

According to him, the last thirty years of the existence of Kogi State has been eventful with provision of infrastructure, health care system and quality education to the people of the state.

Oba Isenibi who congratulated the government and people of Kogi state on the celebration, appealed to the Governor to remember the Community with necessary infrastructure that will ameliorate the sufferings of the people.

“Whenever we request for anything from Government, they refer us to Dangote and when we also request from Dangote, they tell us to go and meet government. We also need government attention as a people.”

He called on the people to be law abiding and support government in ensuring a more peaceful atmosphere that will attract investors to the state.

The monarch enjoined the people of Okun land to be united and eschew bitterness which according to his are inimical to growth and development.
