Two days after a coal laden truck crashed into a residential building in Lokoja, Kogi state capital, a Toyota Matrix car skidded off the road on Monday and rammed into a business shop along the busy Adankolo junction in Lokoja.

Three kid hawkers escaped death by whiskers when the Toyota Matrix car, with registration number KSF 469 EL, hit them before crashing into a nearby shop.

The driver, a woman presumed to be a learner, was coming from Adankolo village but lost control of the vehicle around the busy junction, hitting three kid hawkers before plunging into a shop own by JB photos.

One of the hawkers, a twelve year old boy simply identified as Abdulahi, said it was the hands of God that saved him as it all happened in a flash.

He commended the passersby for their timely assistance as they helped to bring himself and two others out of the dump site they fell into when the car hit them.

The driver of the crashed car and a male occupant fled the scene after the accident for fear of being lynched by the angry mob.
