The chairman of Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State, Emmanuel Funso, has commended the state governor, Captain Idris Wada, for his excellent performance so far since his election into office, saying the governor had turned the state around through several development programmes such as construction of roads across nooks and crannies of the state, channelisation of drainages, prompt payment of staff salary and allowances and maintenance of security of lives and property, among others.
The chairman also lauded the state government’s achievements in the areas of attracting foreign investors, improving the internally generated revenue of the state, as well as encouraging agriculture by giving out loans to farmers so as to boost food production.
The council boss rated his administration’s performance in the local government high in the areas of reduction of unemployment rate, ensuring good working relationship among the executive, legislative and career officers and complementing the state government’s development efforts, which he noted, had made him to be ranked the best chairman among the previous chairmen of the council.
Olorunfemi also made reference to the peaceful coexistence among the communities that made up the local government, as well as grading/asphaltic tarring of roads as some of his achievements since assuming office.
