As the race for who will represent Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu federal constituency hots up, an aspirant on the platform of Social Democratic Party (SDP), Ambassador Otitoju Joseph Oyeyemi (Oyela) said that he is on the race to rescue the people of the area from maladministration has has bedeviled the constituents.
Ambassador Oyeyemi while addressing his teeming supporters in Ekinrin -Adde said that his quest to represent the people at the Green Chamber was borne out of his commitment to revive the falling standard of education in the area through moving motions and sponsoring Bills that will bring the lost glory of education in the area.
The aspirant bemoaned the the falling standard of education in the area pointing out that he would collaborate with relevant agencies to revamp education in the area adding that he would do everything to ensure the growth and development of education in the area.
He revealed that Agriculture Advancement program will be introduced for effective collaboration with government at all levels, Non Governmental Organizations (NGO) and other relevant stakeholders in Agricultural value chains to raise the productivity of farming in order to increase income and reduce poverty rate.
On youth and women empowerment, Ambassador Oyeyemi stated that he would priority attention to youth and women empowerment in order to achieve a viable ensure reduction in crime rate stressing that he would encourage them to be self reliant by collaborating with local and international organizations in order to put food on the tables of the constituents.
Meanwhile, arrangements have been concluded for the official commissioning of live water boreholes constructed across the constituency.Ambassador Oyeyemi said that the construction of live boreholes in the area was to alleviate the sufferings of the people of the area.
He appealed to the people of the area to vote for him in the next general elections pointing out the Social Democratic Party is the alternative political party that will endure good governance and delivery of dividends of democracy.
