Member representing Yagba federal constituency, Elder Leke Abejide is set to purchase African Democratic Congress (ADC) nomination and expression of intent form to contest the November 11 Kogi governorship election.
Abejide’s media aide, Ibukun Abraham, in a statement issued on Thursday, stated that the lawmaker’s decision to obtain the nomination form was based on clarion calls by Kogites.
She said “the journey to liberate the people of Kogi state and deliver the state to the people will officially begin as Hon. Abejide will be picking up his governorship form on Monday, 27th March 2023 by 11 am prompt at the ADC National Secretariat, Abuja.”
“The decision to express the governorship interest and to obtain the nomination form was a collective decision by many Kogites who saw Hon. Abejide’s scorecard in the last four years in Yagba and across Okunland.”
The media aide called on ADC stakeholders to join Abejide as he picks his governorship nomination form in Abuja on Monday.
