IYC Worries Over Spate of Attacks on Religious Institutions in Igala Land

The Igala Youth Council (IYC) has expressed concern over attacks on some religious places in Igala land.

In a statement signed by Onogu Collins and Hussein Yahaya, national president and secretary respectively, IYC frowned the Monday attack on Dunamis church, Anyigba by miscreants.

Arising from an emergency NEC meeting of the association in Lokoja, the statement said IYC has been in solidarity mood since Attah Igala, Michael Idakwo Ameh Oboni embarked on hunting trip.

IYC described perpetrators as enemies of Igala land and called for urgent move to the ugly situation.

The group expressed its determination to continue to engage security agencies in the state to address the ugly situation.

The President also condemned the recent assassination of former Chairman of Dekina local government, Hon. Adejoh Akuwe and called on police to fish out the perpetrators and bring them to justice.

The IYC National president also use this medium to call on all Igala sons and daughters worldwide to pray for a successful spiritual rites of Agabaidu.
